Darkness

A girl cries out in a darkened room,

tears of sorrow run down her face.

Thoughts of confusion flood her mind,

a pinching pain is in her heart.

No one understands,

the things that she is feeling inside.

A thought of guilt is always there,

never knowing from day to day;

what more she may endure.

Only wishing time after time,

that the yelling would only stop.

Others will never know,

what goes on inside that home.

For only she locks it away,

and cries her tears of pain,

alone in a darkened room.
